Steering Effort Sensor CLSx: Top Accuracy with Ultra Slim Shape

Due to a complete redesign of the sensor body, the new steering effort sensor CLSx is only 30 mm in height (w/o adapters), resulting in minimal extension of the vehicle’s steering column! The sensor is placed between steering column and the standard multifunctional steering wheel, preserving all its functions. The CLSx captures precisely the parameters steering torque, steering angle and angular velocity. Together with its innovative, ultra slim sensor body design, this leads to an unprecedented precision of torque measurement of 0.1% FS.

Wheel Force Transducers (WFT): We Drive in All Weathers

6-component Wheel Force Transducers (WFT) are used in research and development to determine the forces and torques at the wheels during test drives. The new WFT-CX is not only waterproof but also provides a significantly higher resistance against any mechanical or thermal load in all weather conditions. Based on an innovative digital signal conditioning electronic and a completely new mechanical design, a new level of measurement accuracy can be reached which was not possible in the past.

Steering Effort Sensor CLS-E: Perfect Fit

The new award winning steering effort sensor CLS-E sets new standards in size of the housing and resolution and accuracy of the measurement data. Due to its extreme miniaturization, the sensor can be integrated in the airbag compartment of most standard vehicles. All other functions and keys of the standard steering wheel are completely preserved. Besides torque, steering angle and rotational velocity, the sensor also acquires acceleration in all spatial directions as well as rotational acceleration (optionally).
